Gaviscon Cool Liquid (300ml Bottle): Gaviscon Cool product range works in the same was as Gaviscon Original products however, you may particularly appreciate its cool mint flavour if your symptoms include a bad taste in the mouth.

Contains as active ingredients:

• Sodium alginate
• Sodium bicarbonate
• Calcium carbonate

How does it work?

Gaviscon Cool products form a ‘raft’ over the stomach contents, which helps prevent acid coming back up into the oesophagus (food pipe)

Gaviscon Cool Liquid provides fast, soothing and long lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion. It can be used to treat gastric reflux (a condition in which the acid stomach contents flow upwards into the foodpipe) and flatulence caused by gastric reflux. Gaviscon Cool liquid belongs to a group of medicines called 'reflux suppressants'.

Directions for use:

You can take this product if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Adults, including the elderly and children 12 years and over: When symptoms occur take 10-20ml (two to four 5ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime. Children 6-12 years: 5-10ml (one or two 5ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtimes. Children under 6 years not recommended. You should make sure that you carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use

Ingredients:

contains 500mg sodium alginate Ph Eur, 267mg sodium bicarbonate Ph Eur and 160mg calcium carbonate as the active ingredients. It also contains carbomer, methyl (E218) and propyl(E216) parahydroxybenzoates, sodium saccharin, mint flavourings and water. Gaviscon Cool liquid is sugar and gluten free.
