Duofilm Liquid (15ml Bottle)

Duofilm Liquid (15ml Bottle): This medicine is used to treat warts.

It contains two main ingredients: salicylic acid and lactic acid. Salicylic acid helps to break down hardened skin and also removes excess skin cells. Lactic acid is an antiseptic and also helps the salicylic acid to work better.

This medicine is available as a liquid which is applied directly to the affected area DAILY. Wash and thoroughly dry the affected areas before you apply this medicine.
Do not let this medicine come into contact with normal skin. If it does, then wash the area with plenty of water. (Normally applying vaseline to the surrounding skin can prevent this medicine from coming into contact with healthy skin). 

Speak to your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse during treatment with this medicine.

Before using Duofilm:

This medicine may not be suitable for everyone and some people must never have it. Check the leaflet that comes with your medicine to make sure that the medicine is suitable before having it.

Always get advice from a healthcare professional before having this medicine if:

• you are allergic or sensitive to or have had a reaction to any of the ingredients in the medicine
• this medicine is for a child under 12 years of age
• the warts which need treatment are on the face, or in the area around the anus or genitals

Medicines interactions:

If you are taking more than one medicine they may interact with each other. This medicine is unlikely to have any important interactions. But speak to your pharmacist or doctor if you get any unusual symptoms while having this medicine with other medicines.

Possible side effects of Duofilm:

Most medicines can cause some side-effects but not everyone having the same medicine will get the same side-effects.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:

This medicine is not known to cause any problems during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. However, as with all medicines, you should seek medical advice from your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or are breast-feeding.
