Calpol Sugar Free & Colour Free Infant Suspension (200ml Bottle)

Calpol Sugar Free & Colour Free Infant Suspension (100ml Bottle): Is a strawberry flavoured sugar free AND colour free oral suspension that will relieve pain (including teething pain in older infants and children) and feverishness. 

It is suitable for babies and children from 2 months to 6 years. The active ingredient in this medicine is Paracetamol 120mg/5ml. 

Directions for use:

• Age 2-3 months: 2.5ml (small end of spoon). If necessary after 4-6 hours, give a second 2.5ml dose. 
• Do not give to babies less than 2 months of age. Do not give more than 2 doses. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. If further doses are needed, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. 
• Age 3-6 months: ONE 2.5ml spoonful (small end) up to 4 times a day. 
• Age 6-24 months: ONE 5ml spoonful (large end) up to 4 times a day. 
• Age 2-4 years: ONE 5ml spoonful (large end) and ONE 2.5ml spoonful (small end) up to 4 times a day. 
• Age 4-6 years: TWO 5ml spoonfuls (large end) up to 4 times a day. Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not give this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.

• Do not exceed the stated dose.

Ingredients:

The active ingredient is: Paracetamol 120 mg per 5 ml.

Other ingredients are: Maltitol liquid (E965), glycerol, polysorbate 80, sorbitol liquid (E420), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), dispersible cellulose, xanthan gum and purified water. The flavouring is strawberry.

Possible side effects of Calpol Sugar Free Infant Suspension:

It is rare to have side effects with paracetamol but some allergic reactions have been recorded such as skin rashes.
